ORIGIN: Found in central and southcentral Madagascar in montane scrub in sphagnum moss at elevations of 1100 to 2400 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with 2, oblong tubers giving rise to an erect, subfiliform stem without developing leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, subdense, 10 to 30 flowered inflorescence.
