ORIGIN: Found in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania at elevations of 20 to 1550 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial species occurring in sclerophyll forest, prefers moist situations and almost always found in sandy soil with an oblong tuber giving rise to an erect, reddish stem carrying 2 basal, oval, acute, waxy basally clasping leaves and an acuminate tubular sheath at the middle that blooms on an erect, 5 [12.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence occurring in the summer and fall.
