ORIGIN: Found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru in very wet montane forests at elevations arouind 800 to 1200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, pendant, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a very short stem enveloped completely by the bases of the leaf bearing sheaths and carrying, glaucous-green, oblong-elliptic, acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an axillary, single flowered, 3.2 [8 cm] long inflorescence carrying 1 to 2 adpressed, ovate bracts.
