Acoridium cobbianum is an orchid species identified by (Rchb.f.) Rolfe in 1904. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Dendrochilum cobbianum.
ORIGIN: Philippine species occurring, on mossy tree trunks or as a lithophyte on rocks in full sun, at elevations above 1200 meters.
DESCRIPTION: An epiphytic, small sized, cool growing, Philippine species with clustered, narrowly conical, yellowish pseudobulbs carrying, a single, apical, oblong-lanceolate, acute, petiolate leaf with a prominent mid rib that blooms in the fall with a sharply pendant, 20 [50 cm] long, ovate bracteate inflorescence with ovate, subacute, glumaceous bracts and many fragrant flowers.
FLOWER SIZE: 3/4 at most inches [to 1.9 cm]
