ORIGIN: Found in Sabah Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 2100 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cool to cold growing twig epiphyte and sometime lithophyte with clustered, ovoid-globose to broadly ellipsoid, rugulaose, green suffused with red to entirely red pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, linear to linear-lanceolate, acute, minutely apiculate, rigid, sulcate along the middle, dark olive green, 3 to 4 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring, again in the later summer and fall on a basal, erect then arching, terete, filiform, 4 to 10.8 [10 to 26 cm] long, overall, rachis to [5 to 16 cm] long, quadrangular, reddish, subdense to densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-elliptic, acute bracts and broadly ovate, subacute floral bracts.
