ORIGIN: Found in Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Guinea, Cameroon, Gulf of Guinea Islands, Zaire, Rwanda and Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia in forest amongst mosses on tree trunks and rarely as a lithophyte on mossy rocks, at elevations of 1500 to 2200 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Found in Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Guinea, Cameroon, Gulf of Guinea Islands, Zaire, Rwanda and Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia in forest amongst mosses on tree trunks and rarely as a lithophyte on mossy rocks, at elevations of 1500 to 2200 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or rarely lithophyte with an upright to arching stem carrying 2 ranked, conduplicate, linear-oblong, unequally bilobed apically leaves with rounded lobes that blooms in the spring on usually several, suberect to spreading, 1.6 to 7.2 [4 to 18 cm] long, 7 to 15 flowered inflorescence with well spaced, almost translucent flowers.
