Orchid Species: Bulbophyllum lilianae

Bulbophyllum lilianae is an orchid species identified by Rendle in 1917.
ORIGIN: Found in Queensland, Australia below 900 meters in elevation in cloud forests.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte with very widely spaced, deeply grooved, dark green to yellowish pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect to horizontal, dark green to yellowish, tough leaf that blooms in the winter through spring on a basal, 5/8 to 1 [1.5 to 2.5 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with simultaneously opening flowers.
FLOWER SIZE: 2/5 inch [1 cm]
