ORIGIN: Found in Nepal, Bhutan, India, Yunnan and southeastern Tibet China and Myanmar in evergreen broad-leaved forests on wet banks in shady, moist locations at elevations of 1500 to 3000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with conic pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4, well developed at blooming, plicate, oblong or oblong-lanceolate, acute, contracting below into the cuneate, pseudostem base leaves that blooms in the spring through early fall on a terminal, stout, erect, densely pubescent, rachis to 7.6 [19 cm] long, overall to 66 [to 75 cm] long, sparsely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, abaxial surface sparsely pubescent floral bracts.
