ORIGIN: Found in northern Minas Gerais Brazil on quartzite rock at elevations of 900 to 1440 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool growing lithophyte with 4 to 6 internoded, cylindrical, slightly compressed, abruptly thickened basally pseudobulbs enveloped by dry sheaths and carrying linear-lanceolate, slightly leathery, transversly rugose leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, to 26 [65 cm] long, shortly successive to 12 flowered inflorescence.
