ORIGIN: Found in Brazil in bright shady places at the forests edge in deep humus.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool growing terrestrial found in colonies with a basal rosette of 2 to 6, close to the ground, membraneous, shiny, oval to oblong-elliptic to lanceolate, acute, deep green, reticulate nerved, attenuate below into the pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, 12 [30 cm] long overall, peduncle with 2 to 4, adpressed sheaths, 6 to 8 [15 to 20 cm] long, rachis 1.6 to 4 [4 to 10 cm] long, to 60 flowered inflorescence with patent, lanceolate, acuminate shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
