ORIGIN: Found in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama in wet cloud forests at elevations of 1200 to 2650 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a short swollen stem carrying single, linear-lanceolate, folded, acute leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, winged above, to 2.4 [6 cm] long, laxly few flowered inflorescence.
