ORIGIN: Found in Paraiba, Para, Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, Parana and Santa Catarina states of Brazil at elevavtions of 1000 to 1100 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial in sandy soils or on rocks at elevations of sea level to 1100 meters with elongate, spindle-shaped, to 2' [60 cm] tall pseudobulbs carrying several, deciduous, long, narrow leaves and blooms on a basal, branched, 2' to 4'8 [60 cm to 1.5 meters] long, many flowered inflorescence with fragrant, long-lasting flowers occurring in the spring to early summer.
