DESCRIPTION: A medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte found in Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe in woodlands with high rainfall, in evergreen forests or occasionally on rocks in large colonies at elevations of 750 to 2600 meters that is similar in culture to Angraecum with woody, sometimes branched stems enveloped basally by old leaf bases and carrying, numerous, distichous, narrowly oblong or strap shaped, unequally and roundly bilobed apically leaves that has fragrant flowers that occur in the spring and summer on a basal to axillary, pendant, 2 to 4 [to 7 cm] long, racemose, suberect, fractiflex inflorescence with a few to several [5 to 13], fragrant flowers. This species is best raised in humid, moderatly shaded warm to cool conditions with a cooler and drier rest.
