Orchid Species: Dendrobium singaporense

Dendrobium singaporense is an orchid species identified by A.D.Hawkes & A.H.Heller in 1957.
ORIGIN: Found in Malaysia, peninsular Thailand, Borneo and Sumatra at elevations around 200 meters in moist lowland habitats.
DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with very slender, rigid, zig-zag stems carrying 2 to 10, widely spaced, slightly curved, nearly terete leaves similar to Papilionanthe teres leaves that blooms with a slight temperature change in the warmer months on short, lateral inflorescence arising towards the apex of old leafless canes and arise singly from the tufts of the floral bracts carrying scented [Chrysanthemum Tea], fleshy flowers that do not open well.
