ORIGIN: Found in Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Benin, Nigeria, Gulf of Guinea Islands, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equitorial Guinea, Zaire, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Natal South Africa in shady, marshy areas on river banks and on rocks in forests at elevations of 800 to 1500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm growing terrestrial with pencil-thick, soft stems that root into leaf liter giving rise to glandular inflorescence that arise in February and March or summer ensitu and have the flowers in a dense corymb held towards the apex.
