ORIGIN: Found in Venezuela, Guyana, French Guiana and Brazil in rain forests at elevations of 50 to 400 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium to large sized, hot growing epiphyte and is one of the largest plants and flowers in the genus with huge, 4 tall pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3 apical, thin, broad, strap-shaped, wavy margin, oblique and rounded leaves that are close to 2' long and blooms in the late spring and early summer in northern cultivation on an erect, stiff, racemose to few branched inflorescence with strongly scented flowers.
