Epicranthes cheiropetalum is an orchid species identified by (Ridl.) Garay & W.Kittr. in 1986. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Bulbophyllum cheiropetalum.
ORIGIN: Found in peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, New Caledonia and Sumatra at elevations of 1000 to 1300 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a pendulous rhizome with .6 [1.5 cm] between each basally adnate to the rhizome, curving towards the apex, pale green, suffused with brown pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong-elliptic, acuminate, acute, thick, fleshy, dark green flushed with brown on the bottom leaf that blooms on a fascile arising from the nodes of the rhizome, single flowered, pale green, minutely scaly, .1 [2.75 mm] long inflorescence with tubular, apically broader, keeled floral bracts and carrying the spreading and fleshy flowers close to the pseudobulb.
