ORIGIN: Found in Costa Rica at elevations of 700 to 1700 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with simple, produced from the 1st or 2nd node from the base of the previous stem, cane-like, terete, very thin, erect, straight stem carrying 6 to 9, all along the stem, alternate, more or less fleshy, generally deciduous, linear, rounded, margin entire, articulate below into the base leaves that blooms in the later summer through mid winter on a terminal, occurring only once, racemose, distichous, secund, suberect, laterally compressed, lax, 8 to 28 flowered inflorescence with an apical bract similar to the slightly longer than the ovary, widely triangular, acute, amplexicaul floral bracts and carrying successively opening, distichous, resupinate flowers.
