ORIGIN: Found in peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak Borneo, and Sumatra in lower montane forests to upper montane mossy ridge forests at elevations around 1500 to 2900 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte with 1.4 between each, terete pseudobulb envelopd mostly by thick brown sheaths and carrying 2, apical, thick, tough, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms from the leaf axils on a 10.4 to 15.2 [26 to 38 cm] long, brown pubescent, erect, densely many flowered inflorescence enveloped basally by a papery sheath, with very small acute floral bracts.
