ORIGIN: Found in the Moluccas, Sulawesi, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa and Queensland Australia in lowland forests at elevations of sea-level to 650 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with thick, close set, fleshy pseudobulbs enveloped basally by large, conduplicate, triangular sheaths and carrying 3, linear-lanceolate, apically narrowed, narrowly obtuse, narrowing below ito the elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on 2 to 5, erect to horizontal, densely pubescent, densely many flowered, 5 to 7.6 [12.5 to 19 cm] long racemose inflorescence with several, adpressed, oblong-elliptic, obtuse, concave, pubescent bracts and reflexed, ovate to oblong, obtuse, pubescent floral bracts.
