Eria lanuginosa is an orchid species identified by J.J.Wood in 1990. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Pinalia lanuginosa.
ORIGIN: Found in Borneo on riverside trees in riparian forests at elevations around 900 to 1000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with cylindrical, thick, fleshy pseudobulbs enveloped completely by imbricate, acute, pale brown leaf sheaths and carrying a single, erect to spreading, narrowly elliptic to oblong-elliptic, ensiform, acute, elongate petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on an erect to decurved, purplish olive green, densely buff to whitish languinose hairy, much shorter than the leaves, peduncle to 2.4 [6 cm] long, rachis 7.2 to 8 [18 to 20 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence triangular-ovate, acute to acuminate, unevenly languinose, stiff floral bracts, carrying non-resupinate flowers.
