ORIGIN: Found in Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Java, Sumatra, Borneo, and the Philippines in riverine and hill forests at elevations of 300 to 1000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with 2 to 5, clustered, erect to pendent, clavate, narrow and terete basally, gradually becoming laterally flattened, acute apically, internoded stems carrying 2 to 6, alternate from nodes at the narrow edge of the upper part of the stem, narrowly elliptic to oblong-elliptic to ovate, acute, thin-textured, dark green, sometimes stained purple leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a lateral, appearing subterminal, 1 to 3, pale green streaked red, arising from the apical nodes, .4 to 2 [1 to 5 cm] long, successively 2 to 14 flowered inflorescence with triangular-ovate, acute, purple floral bracts and carrying sweetly musky scented flowers.
