ORIGIN: Found in Jalisco Mexico at elevations around 1400 to 2000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a pendulous, oblong-ellipsoid, wrinkled tuber giving rise to an erect, slender stem carrying to 8, cauline, in a spiral, almost distichous, arching, spreading to erect, cuneate, elliptic-lanceolate to lanceolate, dark green leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a terminal, erect, semicylindrical, lax, .6 to 1.6 [1.5 to 4 cm] long, 2 to 7 flowered, yelolow green inflorescence with shorter to longer than the ovary, erect to adpressed, conduplicate, revolute sided below, subcordate-triangular, acuminate floral bracts and carrying, simultaneously opening, fragrant flowers.
