ORIGIN: Found in southern Cape Province South Africa in well drained often gravelly soils at elevations of sea level to 1000 meters near the cape.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with 6 to 8 radical, semi-rigid, erect leaves, completely sheathing, lax, brown cauline leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, erect, lax, 3 to 16 flowered inflorescence carrying very color variable, non resupinate flowers .
