Iridorkis microphylla is an orchid species identified by (Blume) Kuntze in 1891. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Oberonia microphylla.
ORIGIN: Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Java, Vietnam and Taiwan in evergreen forests along streams in very wet forests at elevations of 250 to 1250 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with thin stems enveloped completely by imbricate leaf sheath bases carrying 5 or so, different sized, rather narrow, scarsely diverging from one another and curving inward, distichous-equitant, laterally compressed, acuminate to slightly curve-tipped leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, to 4 [10 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with oblong floral bracts and [2 to 3 mm] between each whorl of flowers.
