ORIGIN: This small sized species is found in the eastern United States and is a cool to cold growing terrestrial from moist sandy pinewoods or on mixed hardwood slopes at altitudes of 280 to 700 meters.

DESCRIPTION: This small sized species is found in the eastern United States and is a cool to cold growing terrestrial from moist sandy pinewoods or on mixed hardwood slopes at altitudes of 280 to 700 meters and along forested stream banks. It's flowering season is in the early spring in Florida to summer in the north occurring on a terminal, erect, 2 [5 cm] long, one to few flowered inflorescence that arises after the leaves begin to form.
