ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador in very wet montane forests at elevations of 900 to 1800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an erect, short stem completely enveloped by the basal clasping of the distichous, imbricating leaf sheaths with the uppermost being foliaceous and carrying narrowly obovate, acute, narrowing gradually into a sub-petiolate base and blooms at most any time of the year from the upper axils, slender, 1 1/5 [3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence. This species is said to be a synonym of Kefersteinia lojae but I feel there are substantial differences to keep them separate.
