Leptorkis auriculata is an orchid species identified by (Blume ex Miq.) Kuntze in 1891. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Liparis auriculata.
ORIGIN: Found in Japan, Korea and north and central Taiwan in dense forests in damp places at elevations of 1000 to 2500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial often forming large clusters with 1.2 to 2 [3 to 5 cm] between each ovoid, slightly compressed pseudobulb carrying 2, not articulate, ovate, broadly ovate to cordate, rounded to cordate and decurrent into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring and early summer on a 8 to 12 [20 to 30 cm] long, several to more than 10 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate floral bracts.
