ORIGIN: Found only in Borneo in lower to upper montane forests at elevations of 1560 to 2400 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with an elongate, creeping, tough, rooting profusely at nodes and enveloped by short, imbricate, scarious sheaths and giving rise with 1/2 to 1 [1.25 to 2.5 cm] between each erect, narrowly pyriform pseudobulb enveloped completely by ovate-elliptic, acuminate leafless sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ligulate, ensiform, acute, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, cuneate, conduplicate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, to 8.6 [to 21.5 cm] long, wiry, inflorescence with the rachis being wider, 2 winged, curving, slightly fractiflex rachis with imbricate, alternately distichous, conduplicate acute floral bracts.
