ORIGIN: Found in Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Central African Republic, Zaire, Angola, Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia, south Africa and Madagascar in damp places in grasslands, wet meadows or amongst rocks, sometime within Mangroves at elevations of 100 to 1800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with underground, greenless, tubueroid, ovoid, sheathed pseudobulbs giving rise to usually 3, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, erect, plicate, subsessile leaves that blooms at most ant time of the year on an erect, to 8 [20 cm] long, rachis narrowly winged, 10 to 30 flowered inflorescence.
