Microstylis merapiensis is an orchid species identified by Schltr. in 1911. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Crepidium merapiense.
ORIGIN: Found Thailand and western Sumatra on steep, moist, loam walls at elevations around 1800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a short stem enveloped by leaf sheaths and carrying 3 to 5, obliquely ovate, acuminate to acute, basally narrowing into a short petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later summer on a terminal, erect, to 3.2 [8 cm] long, peduncle longer, rachis shorter, densely many flowered inflorescence.
