ORIGIN: Found in Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Spain, France, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Italy, Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria in short poor open grasslands, open garrigue, scrub, olive groves and open woodland up to 1800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with 3 to 8, mostly basal oblong-lanceolate, unmarked, pale green leaves and a few sheath-like leaves higher up along the stem that blooms in the late winter and spring on a conical to ovoid, densely few to many flowered inflorescence.
