ORIGIN: Found in the Chinese Himalayas, Assam, eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan in damp locations within evergreen broad-leaved hill forests, bamboo forests and valleys at elevations of 300 to 1600 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial orchid with stout, glabrous, decumbent at the base stems carrying 4 to 7, ovate, acute, 3 veined, hyaline margined, brown, expanded at the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 2.4 to 4 [6 to 10 cm] long, racemose, glandular-pubescent, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with distant, lanceolate, acuminate sheaths and ovate, much shorter than the ovary, outer surface pubescent, mucronate apically floral bracts.
