ORIGIN: Found in Cochabamba and La Paz Bolivia on mossy trees in upper elevation cloud forests at elevations of 1800 to 2500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with smooth, ovoid, somewhat laterally compressed, close set on the rhizome pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several pairs of imbricating, leaf-bearing sheaths carrying 2, apical, erect to arching, strap-shaped, light green, widest at the middle, tapering towards both ends, acute, narrowing below into the logitudinally folded, petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect then pendent if not supported by surrounding branches of trees and shrubs, climbing, twining, to 5' [150 cm] long, paniculate, all the flowers in the apical half, with 6 between the 2 long, slightly fractiflex, few flowered branches, many flowered inflorescence arising through one of the uppermost sheath-like bracts.
