ORIGIN: Found as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial that is found in the Canary Islands, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Balaeric Islands, France Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Italy, Yugoslavia, Albania, eastern Aegean Islands, Greece and Turkey in short grasslands, damp meadows, abandoned cultivation, garrigue, scrub and open woodlands at elevations of sea-level to 900 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial that is found in the Canary Islands, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Balaeric Islands, France Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Italy, Yugoslavia, Albania, eastern Aegean Islands, Greece and Turkey in short grasslands, damp meadows, abandoned cultivation, garrigue, scrub and open woodlands at elevations of sea-level to 900 meters with an erect stem carrying 4 to 6, basal, oblong, lanceolate leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on a terminal, erect, 8 [20 cm] long, loosely 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
