ORIGIN: A very varied natural hybrid between Oph. bertolini and Oph. sphegodes, that has been narrowly defined as many previous species but I have included them all together here according to Pedersen & Faurholdt. Found on the Dalmatian coast of Yugoslavia in short grasslands and garrigue at elevations up to 200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing terrestrial that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, lax, 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence.
