DESCRIPTION: A mini-miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid in wet, acidic, sphagnum bogs at elevations up to 1100 meters with 2 to 3, partially concealed pseudobulbs giving rise to a greenish- yellow, hairless, 3 to 5 angled stem carrying 2 to 3, clasping, basal leaves sometimes with a row of tiny bulbils that blooms on a terminal, erect, 1 to 5 [2.5 to 12.5 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with the non-resupinate flowers held in a cluster at the apex occurring in the later summer and early fall.
