DESCRIPTION: A medium sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with ellipsoid tubers carrying an erect stem with 3 to 6, oblong to oblong-ovate, glossy leaves that blooms in the spring on a 3 to 6 [7.5 to 15 cm] long, densely many [25 to 200] flowered inflorescence that is cylindrical in shape.
