DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a robust, pale green stem with 4 to 10 basal, near erect, unmarked, linear to linear-lanceolate, slightly keeled leaves and smaller, clasping cauline leaves almost to the tip of the stem that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a oblong or cylindrical, 1 1/2 to 4 1/2' [45 to 135 cm] long, densly many [15 to 25] flowered inflorescence with fragrant, color variable flowers.
