ORIGIN: Found from Portugal, Spain, Balearic Islands, France, Corsica, Sardinia, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, Yugoslavia, Albania, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Crimea, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Iran.

DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, cold to cool growing terrestrial orchid with erect stems carrying 3 to 4, oblong to ovate-lanceolate, unmarked, glacous green leaves that become sheath-like towards the apex that blooms in the spring on a conical to ovoid, to 2 [5 cm] long, densly many flowered inflorescence with weakly scented flowers.
