ORIGIN: Found in Costa Rica and Panama in cloud forests at elevations of 1200 to 1500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium to large sized, warm growing epiphyte with cane like stems with pseudobulbs only at the base of the plant and restricted to juvenile stage as ovoid and single leafed, with the subcoriaceous, oblong, acute to obtuse to bilobate leaf that blooms in the fall on a fascile of several single flowered, 1.6 [4 cm] long inflorescence subtended by acute floral bracts.
