ORIGIN: Found in Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Fr. Guiana, Surinam and Ecuador in lowland forests at elevations of sea level to 100 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2, thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical-obovate, subacute, gradually narrowing below into the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms at moist any time of the year on a capillary, 1.2 to 1.8 [ 3 to 4.5 cm] long, congested, racemose, successively single flowered inflorescence arising from the ramicaul with imbricating, thin, tubular, acuminate floral bracts.
