ORIGIN: Found in Assam, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam on rocks in open oak forests at elevations of 1500 to 2200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cool to cold growing litho-epiphyte with caespitose, ellipsoid-obovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2, elliptic-lanceolate, lanceolate or linear, plicate, 3 veined, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring through fall on a short, single flowered inflorescence enveloped by imbricate sheaths and has scarious, brown floral bracts all arising on a newly emerging growth.
