ORIGIN: Found in Malaysia, Borneo, Java, Sumatra, Lesser Sunda Islands, Sulawesi, and the Solomon Islands in hill forests and lower montane mossy forests at elevations of 500 to 1700 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with cylindrical, adpressed pseudobulbs carrying lanceolate, abruptly narrowing apically, acute, gradually narrowing below into the 1 to 2 [2.5 to 5 cm] petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an apical, arising on a newly arising pseudobulb, erect then nodding to pendulous, terete, 12 [30 cm] long, strongly fractiflex inflorescence with deciduous bracts that fall before blooming.
