ORIGIN: Found in Sulawesi, Bismark Islands, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Norfolk, Fiji, New Caledonia, Samoa and Vanuatu in rainforests on mossy tree trunks at elevations around 400 to 740 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with closely spaced, oval to round pseudobulbs carrying 2, erect, oblong-lanceolate, acute to subacute, shortly petiolate base leaves of unequal length and blooms in the summer through fall on a basal, lateral, erect, 6.8 to 14 [17 to 35 cm] long, cylindrical tapering, densely many flowered inflorescence with cucculate, oblong, obtuse, floral bracts and has small fragrant flowers, .
