ORIGIN: Found in Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica and Colombia in humid seasonally dry oak forests at elevations of 1800 to 1900 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Minature sized, cool growing epiphyte with subterete ramicauls enveloped basally by scarious, tubular, carinate, apiculate sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to oblanceolate, round, mucronate, green, underside very brilliant, sulcate, very succulent, rigid, abruptly narrowing below into the channeled, elongate petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on 1 to 2, elongating, erect-arcuate, eventually hanging, filiform, rather loose, subdistichous, to 2 to 7.6 [5 to 19 cm] long, to 50 flowered inflorescence.
