ORIGIN: Found in Azuay Ecuador at elevations of 1800 to 3000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicaul with a close, tubular sheath near the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, suberect to spreading, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, more of less concave, cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer on a dense fascile of successively numerous, .08 to .12 [2 to 3 mm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence arising through a suberect to recling spathe and has tubular floral bracts.
