Pleurothallis deceptrix is an orchid species identified by Dressler in 1970. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Dresslerella powellii.
ORIGIN: Found near sea-level to 300 meters in Panama.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte that grows in shady places with a velvety green leaf held flat to the tree branch and with the slender to stout, ramicauls forming a rosette of thick, prostrate, elliptical to oblong, subacute to obtuse leaves that are slightly ciliate along the edge and blooms a short 1/8 [2 to 3 mm], held close to the leaf base, single flowered inflorescence with a loose, basal leaf sheath and a densly pubescent, thin, tubular floral bract occurring in winter and late summer.
