ORIGIN: Found from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica in high elevation cloud forests as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte that occurs at altitudes of 2000 to 2200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica in high elevation cloud forests as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte that occurs at altitudes of 2000 to 2200 meters with a triangular, sulcate ramicaul carrying a single, apical, fleshy, elliptical, retuse apically, grey-green leaf that gradually becomes conduplicate into a long sinus and blooms in the spring and summer on a short, fasciculate, to 1 [2.5 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence arising from the midvein below the middle of the leaf and holding the flowers close to the leaf.
