ORIGIN: A miniature epiphytic species that is found in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama in wet montane forests at elevations of sea-level to 1600 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Hot to warm growing orchid with glabrous ramicauls enveloped basally by tubular, scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, narrowly oblanceolate to linear, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that is apically, bi or tri-dentate and blooms in the late spring on an axillary, racemose, 4 1/2 [11 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence arising through a small annulus with the flowers opening at night and closing through the day.
